The Labour leader has said the UK is 'going backwards' as a result of declining living standards and slow economic growth. Speaking at the Resolution Foundation conference, Keir Starmer drew attention to a graph from the thinktank’s report on the autumn statement, showing that living standards are falling this parliament, for the first time in modern history.
