Optus is searching for a new CEO following the resignation of Kelly Bayer Rosmarin.
Reports suggest the former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian is thinking of putting her hand up for the top job.
Ms Berejiklian joined Optus last year and currently sits on the telecommunications company's executive board.
However, there are suggestions that Singtel which is the parent company of Optus will look for a more conservative replacement.
The most likely option is that they'll be parachuting in someone who's tried and tested from Singapore.
