The fireplace crackles and you lower your book a moment to smell the sweet tang of the firewood and enjoy the peaceful ambience. It’s cozy in this room, and a cat keeps you company, snuggled up close to the fireplace. It may be winter outside but it’s warm indoors.
Your thoughts wander, interrupted by the distant rumble of the thunderstorm. The cat stretches out to its full length, purring in contentment, and you smile at the sight. No manor is complete without a house cat. Opening the book again, you listen to the soft rain and relax, your eyelids growing heavy.
