This is a classic gingerbread recipe (ingredients below) that spreads a little when you bake, making your gingerbread people cute and chubby. You can use light or dark brown sugar and either golden syrup or molasses. Darker ingredients will result in a darker gingerbread and a stronger flavour.
Makes 18-24 biscuits/cookies depending on your cutter size.
Bake at 160c Fan for 10-14 mins (depending on the size of your shapes)

140g Golden Syrup
200g Light Brown Sugar
200g Unsalted Butter
16g Ground Ginger
8g Ground Cinnamon
4g Ground Nutmeg
2g Ground Cloves
1 Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
500g Flour (Sifted)
4g Salt
1 Egg (lightly whisked)
