Perfect make ahead cinnamon roll for Christmas morning. These cinnamon rolls are not only easy, but so tasty and perfect for the upcoming holiday.
If you do not have a bread machine read below for how to make these with a standard mixer.
Cinnamon Roll recipe
3/4c,. warm milk
1/4c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4c. melted butter
1t. salt
3c. bread flour
2 1/4t. yeast
mix all ingredients in your bread machine and use the dough function to mix and let it rise. Do not bake in your bread machine.
If you do not have a bread machine mix it all in a mixer. Make sure to let your yeast proof with the warm milk and sugar until bubbly before adding other ingredients. Once it is mixed let it rise in a covered bowl until double in size (about 1.5 hrs).
Filling
1 1/2c. brown sugar
3-4T. cinnamon
1/2c. softened butter
Roll your dough out on a floured surface to about a 12 x18 rectangle. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Spread softener butter over the full rectangle. Make sure to get all the way to the edges. Spread the brown sugar mix over the butter. Use a pizza wheel to cut the dough into 12 strips. Roll each strip and place in a greased 9x13 pan. If you plan to cook later place a lid on the pan and put it in the fridge up to 48 hours. If you plan to bake right away let it rise about 45 minutes before baking.
to bake let it come to room temp about 45 minutes. Bake 18-20 minutes turning pan halfway through. While it is in the oven make the frosting.
frosting
1 block cream cheese softened
1 stick softened butter
1 1/2c. powdered sugar
1t. vanilla
Mix butter first with mixer until creamed, add cream cheese and mix until incorporated, add powdered sugar and vanilla and mix until smooth.
