In this video I am taking you step-by-step through my process in creating an oil painting of tangerines in a plastic bag.
The reference picture was made by @bryanmarktaylor for the weekly hosted #foodpaintchallenge and you can find it on my Instagram page. If you enjoy painting and would like to paint these tangerines yourself, be sure to check it out! Also, feel free to use one of the older references! All are free to use, and there is no consent needed when you sell your art works based on these references.

My paintings are available in my online store on my website https://www.dennispfeil.com
If you have any questions or requests, I'd love to read about it in the comments.
The paint I use is a special oil paint (Cobra, from Royal Talent) which you can thin by using water instead of spirits. Other than that, it's the same as regular oil paint.
On the palette:
- titanium white
- cadmium yellow
- yellow ochre
- cadmium red light
- alizarin crimson
- burnt sienna (on palette but not used)
- ultramarine blue
- pthalo green
