It has been an incredibly challenging night for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, especially those in Khan Younis and Rafah cities, and the 1.5 million evacuees directed south by the Israeli military to avoid northern Gaza air strikes. Continuous heavy artillery shelling, and relentless and widespread bombardment have ravaged the eastern side of Khan Younis, leaving the majority of homes and public facilities in ruins. Residents faced evacuation orders amid intense bombardment, leading to difficulties for ambulances attempting to reach stranded individuals, as they were shot at while trying to rescue the injured or retrieve the deceased during the night and early morning hours.
