After 47 days of barbaric Israel-Hamas war, a temporary ceasefire in Gaza is set to begin on Nov 24, reported Times of Israel. Qatar's Foreign Ministry informed that the ceasefire will begin at 4 pm alongside the release of 13 hostages held by Hamas terrorists. However, three jailed Palestinian terror convicts will be freed in exchange for every Israeli hostage. Qatar FM’s spokesperson Dr Majed Al Ansari said that Qatar had received a list of the civilians to be freed and families would be given priority. Meanwhile, the PMO confirmed that Israel has received an “initial” list of hostages expected to be freed. “The relevant officials are checking the details of the list and are currently in contact with all families,” the statement says. Hamas’s military wing confirmed that a ceasefire will come into effect from Nov 24 and will last for 4 days. “In four days, 50 hostages will be released,” Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said. Dr Al Ansari also said humanitarian aid would start flowing into Gaza as soon as the truce begins. The deal was agreed following talks mediated by the Gulf state alongside the US and Egypt in Doha.
