Israeli strikes continue to hit residential buildings across Gaza strip despite Israel and Hamas agreeing to a Qatar-mediated truce. Israeli strikes hit Deir el-Balah and in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. Wafa also reported strikes on the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of Gaza City. Several areas in Khan Younis and Rafah were also targeted by Israeli air attacks, including a building next to the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah.
The IDF spokesperson said on November 22 that the war in Gaza would continue and that “we don’t’ know when a ceasefire will start.”
Israel’s national security adviser has said that the release of hostages under the truce deal will not take place before Nov. 24. "Negotiations for the release of our captives are progressing and continue all the time," Tzachi Hanegbi said in a statement. "The start of the release will proceed according to the original agreement between the parties, and not before Friday” the statement said.
