Heavy rain and storms have struck the Western Black Sea region, causing severe flooding in the districts of Ereğli, Garipçe, Rumelifeneri, Kilyos, and Kısırkaya in Sarıyer.
In addition, a cargo ship that lost communication off the coast of Zonguldak also sank after hitting a wave breaker.
Flash floods also hit the city of Batman in southern Turkey at night. Areas including Gültepe, Kültür, Karşıyaka, Petrolkent, İluh, Belde, Tılmerç are submerged in water.
