The fact that waves in fluids are essentially directional in nature eliminates the need for Louis de Broglie's duality: "wave and particle at the same time". There is no “at the same time” in Nature made of one and the same world. In addition, we can consider fluids whose particles have angular momentum. However, angular moments can only be transmitted transversely. The waves in these fluids have a localization and a transversality which again opens the possibility of an ether based on Fluid Mechanics.
The equations are given in the book Fluid Mechanics and Physics.
