The much-awaited election to the post of Mayor in Chandigarh Municipal Corporation that was scheduled to be held on Thursday has been postponed following “ill-health” of the nominated presiding officer.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party with 13 councillors that was fighting for the mayoral post in alliance with the Congress that has seven councillors has protested against the development which they termed it as a “ploy of the BJP”.
