In the Happy Hoppers’ Homeroom, Chip rushes to finish a picture for Tot’s first birthday and so the pasta pieces fall off. Chip is disappointed because there’s no time to make another picture and now she has no gift for Tot! Nico explains that he baked a cake for his little brother Bodi’s birthday, so Chip decides to do the same. Back at home, Poppa sets up a tablet so Chip can follow a cake recipe on Granny Fant’s Baking Channel. Chip and Potato have fun mixing the ingredients but they rush and make a mess of the kitchen. Poppa puts the cake mixture into the oven, leaving Chip (and Potato) to clean up! While the baked cake cools, Chip roller-skates to Flingos’ Store to buy frosting and a candle. Chip learns that Mr and Mrs Flingo are retiring; they’re selling the store to spend more time synchronized swimming. Back at home, Chip frosts the cake but she rushes again and it breaks! Thankfully, Momma shows Chip how to slowly and carefully use the frosting to stick the cake back together.
