OK, in two places I took (severe) damage, but in my opinion both of these are due to the HD remaster's several bugs: The first one has happened some times to me, while in some other playthroughs it's fine. In that particular patrol, you can see that whiskey is barking loud (I press A many times before my Green Beret punches each enemy, and I do this for each enemy obviously), but for some reason, these particular patrol enemies take a bit less time to move between each bark. But in the original game I never had an issue like this, they were distracted normally (for a bit longer). So, I don't know.
Also, like all other people have commented on steam and elsewhere, the enemy view cones on top of the tower!! this is just, .... OK, I get it. You do have to make an HD remaster which of course will have many visual bugs and enemy movement bugs (and also your Commandos' movements bugs), but come on, this is a huge bug, and as far as I remember the original game had these view cones enabled. I can list like 20 bugs that do not make much difference in my gameplay.
But these two bugs you see, made it impossible for me to go 100% without taking any damage, because if the game ran properly as it should, I could do it like most other missions.
Or like, when you run this game and then close it and restart the game again for like 20 times in a row alongside OBS studio (because you want it to be perfect), and then the enemies in the game do not even respond to cig packs and then you have to restart the pc and then it is working, this is some real classy HD remaster... This mostly happened to me in White death (mission 3), and let me tell you there the cig packs are really necessary if you do not use the harpoon gun on enemies or throwing knives (which I didn't) ...
And don't let me get started on the cursor placement (notice where your cursor is underwater in Guns of Savo island) .. This is the most obvious place. And of course, if you are playing on Very
Hard like I do, you only have one chance at the map (if you are also not saving/loading). So, naturally, you would expect the cursor to be correctly placed, but NO... However, in this mission this particular bug is not such a big deal as you do not go underwater.
Some other minor bugs like some people have pointed out are:
-the funny-looking commandos faces
-the constant change in enemy movement behavior (one playthrough an enemy moves in one way, in another playthrough they might move in another way depending on the circumstances)
-the commandos names: Green Beret will always be Green Beret, not tiny!! They just changed everyone's names and faces..
-I discovered this bug in this mission: If your Commando is already wearing a soldier uniform and you tie up an enemy and then open up your inventory and then take his uniform put it in your inventory and then shift + click on it from your inventory and put it back into their inventory, the game will somehow keep both of these windows open sometimes, but the game will continue then. With less words: You will have 2 inventory windows open, you will never again be able to open your inventory window to exchange items with your other commandos, but most importantly, you will never again be able to remove enemy uniforms, so if another enemy sees a tied-up enemy, he will then resume duty. Try it (but save game first). Sometimes it works, and sometimes it is just a pain in the ...
-minor visual bugs: when entering/exiting a vehicle/building when your character seems to have stayed there, or the same with ladders
-or when running, sometimes enemies or your Commandos seem to move weirdly until you press something and then they move normally again.
-After completing a mission and then starting a second mission, the first action you do in the second mission will not be heard (only the first action for everything: such as, a swim dive, a punch, the dog barking, any gun firing, a knife kill, harpoon gun, Green Beret's radio, etc.). But when you use that same action a second time it will be heard. Fun fact, if you restart the game and load that mission again, everything will be heard normally.
-WHY the **** does every cutscene have to be remastered in graphics and the audio is just only mono in one channel???????? What about the right headphone don't you think Calypso our right ear should hear something when a cutscene is playing? That's why I always skip all the cutscenes or intro videos.
-OK I know also in the original game they did this, but the NO INTEL map in bonus mission 7? It is very difficult to do no damage taken, no enemies killed, etc.
-inventory
-and more..
Anyway..
Overall I think this stealth gameplay was ok.
Thank you to everyone that subscribed to my channel and for liking my videos :)
