Why does Hollywood and film studios keep making remakes of our favourite films?

I’m a huge film fan and I am not completely opposed but to remaking a movie which is 60 years old and could be moved into modern cinema where special effects are much more advanced.

But why do Disney reboot Lion King, Jungle Book, Beauty and the beast and the little mermaid? Well it’s money!

There have been some fantastic films that have justified a reboot and a lot of classic Hollywood could be explored but why do we keep getting films like Wonka, overboard and Italian Job…
