An estimated 5000 people made a giant sea of orange at the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Treaty 1 Territory in downtown Winnipeg on September 30, 2023. This day is set aside by federal statute to honor the more 150,000 Indigenous children who attended 139 Residential Schools for over 150 years.
