The former UC Davis student accused of stabbing three people earlier this year will be back in court next week. The state hospital where Carlos Dominguez, 21, has been getting treatment for the last few months said he is now competent to stand trial. The Yolo County court is now preparing to resume the murder trials. In Downtown Davis, some residents pay their respects to David Breaux, 50, who spent time at 3rd and C streets, known as the "compassion corner." People called Breaux "the compassion guy" because of his genuine curiosity about people's compassion. The city dedicated a unique mosaic stone bench in his memory.
