Footage released by the Armed Forces of the Philippines show Chinese ships sailing close to and shadowing Philippine Navy vessels during a joint maritime patrol with the United States in the West Philippine Sea on January 3, 2024. The joint air and sea patrols, called Maritime Cooperative Activity between the AFP and the United States Indo-Pacific Command began on January 3 and end on January 4.
