India's Top Economist and former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan speaks to Barkha Dutt in the 36th episode of our podcast 'Inside Out with Barkha Dutt'.
Rajan talks about the row with BJP's Subramanian Swamy. He says "Swamy was unleashed without any restraint. I raised the issue with govt but nothing happened. They came to my defence only after we parted ways," he says.
Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at Chicago Booth. He was the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between September 2013 and September 2016. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr. Rajan was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund.
