As the date for the temple consecration ceremony nears, invitations sent to political leaders have set the cat among the pigeons. The Opposition's INDIA bloc is caught in a severe political bind. The words used by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor to capture the political context makes that amply clear. "...If you go, that means you are playing into the hands of the BJP. If you don't go, that means you are anti-Hindu, this is nonsense," Tharoor said. The INDIA bloc, the Opposition grouping with rainbow ideologies, is finding it difficult to put out a unified stand. Either way, the chances are that they are going to give the BJP, which was at the forefront of the Ram temple movement, an edge.
