North Korea is in the middle of its year-end key plenary meeting, reflecting on 2023 and planning for 2024.
On the second day of the meeting on Wednesday, the leader Kim Jong-un apparently proposed a "militant task that would speed up war preparations."

He also proposed a "militant task that would accelerate war preparations."
What do you think he means by this?

2. It’s highly likely Kim Jong-un will deliver a message at the end of the key plenary meeting or even a New Year message.
What kind of policy directions do you expect to come out of such a speech?


3. We should probably expect messages to South Korea and the U.S. to be not so friendly this time, right?

4. Next year, in 2024, Kim Jong-un also turns 40.
And it'll be 12 years since he took power.

5. What about the North's Supreme People's Assembly on January 15th?
It's the regime's rubber-stamp parliament where they discuss the state budget and related issues.
