STORYLINE:
Some aid trucks crossed the Rafah border back into Egypt on Thursday after delivering aid into Gaza.
It came as with those who have duel-nationality status were leaving Gaza entering Egypt, and injured Palestinians were arriving.
The death toll of the Palestinians from Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since Oct 7 has reached 20,000, according to a statement issued by the Hamas-run government media office on Wednesday.
The statement said the victims included about 8,000 children and 6,200 women, while more than 52,000 people were injured and 6,700 others were missing.
A total of 310 medical personnel, 35 civil defence personnel and 97 journalists were killed in the Israeli attacks, it added.
Israel’s military says 131 of its soldiers have killed in its ground offensive after Hamas raided southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing about 1,200 people , mostly civilians , and taking about 240 hostages.
From the first of November until 20 of December, number of injured Palestinians who arrived in Egypt to receive medical treatment reached 926 injured Palestinian, who are accompanied by 770 people, with around 17142 thousand of double nationalities entered Egypt , according to Egyptian information general association.
More than two-thirds of Gaza's population of 2.3 million have fled their homes, the vast majority of them internally displaced.
