Sentosa is deploying more solar panels across the resort island as part of efforts to go carbon neutral by 2030. Under a pilot next year, it will also install "solar pavements" at the Fort Siloso Skywalk. This will help to assess the use of platforms like pedestrian walkways to generate solar energy. For now, over 5.2 megawatt-peak of solar capacity has been installed. The clean energy Sentosa's set to produce can offset carbon emissions generated by about 98,000 hotel room nights.
